A Note From Our CEO
Welcome to SAT IntelaTrac® Insider 2nd Quarter
newsletter. This quarter, we would like to share our vision
and some of your latest technology developments to enable your
Operations Management System (OMS) initiatives. As you are aware
IntelaTrac is being leveraged across the Process Industries for
Operator Driven Reliability programs which are resulting in
significant maintenance cost reductions and improvements
with extending Mean-Time between Repairs (MTBR) at many our
customer sites. However, in this article I thought I would
highlight with you some of the other ways IntelaTrac is being
used. At a plant in Delaware, field operators complete
approximately 20,000 rounds per month using IntelaTrac, which
are monitored by 140 custom reports and generate nearly 400
emails each day to the management team and responsible
disciplines with early warning signs of abnormal operating
situations and regulatory compliance deviations, which have
helped this plant significantly reduce safety and environment
issues. At another facility on the West Coast, IntelaTrac is
being used to help manage energy costs through monitoring
non-instrumented points related to utilization and providing
guidance for optimization between running the plant from the
co-generation plant or power grid. In Australia, a customer
is using IntelaTrac for tracking product transfers to rail-cars
and feeding the time stamped data into the Manufacturing
Execution System (MES) to optimize their supply chain and
custody transfer tracking. Although there are 100’s more
examples I could share with you today, it’s my belief that each
of our customers are gaining significant benefits from
IntelaTrac---yet we are only scratching the surface of what can
be achieved in our industry. This is one of the key reasons
that we launched the IntelaTrac User Conference over 6 years
ago in an effort to help facilitate this type of knowledge
sharing. I am looking forward to seeing you all at the event in
September.
Also in this edition, we are pleased to announce a new
series of new On-Demand webcasts which are also included in the
newsletter below. Thus far we have already launched 3 webinars,
and have a full series in the works. Please ensure you take a
few minutes to watch these webinars, as we bring you the latest
on topics that will enable you to maximize the value of your
IntelaTrac Mobile Workforce and Decision Support System
deployments. Until next quarter, as always, please contact me
at Don Frieden with
any questions or requests regarding your mobile workforce and
IntelaTrac needs. See you at IntelaTrac Xchange 08.
