A Note From Our CEO
Happy New Year and thank you for your business and support in 2007 as SAT Corporation
had another successful year. As I look back, 2007 was highlighted with SAT
receiving the prestigious Microsoft World Wide Mobility Partner of the Year Award.
I see this as validation of the hard work that both our customers and employees do
every day, changing the way information is delivered and utilized by mobile workers
who strive to implement Operations Manufacturing Systems which enable step change
process improvements to the mobile workforce. Now, it is my pleasure to welcome you
to our first edition of the 2008 SAT Corporation “IntelaTrac Insider” newsletter.
We have re-designed our e-Newsletter and hope that you will find it easier to read
and more informative. This month, we are proud to announce the launch of some new
training and professional services programs which we believe will provide significant
benefits to our customers. Also featured, we are excited to announce a new integrated
RFID reader for the Intermec CK-61, which enables us to provide better compliance
and validation tracking solutions with IntelaTrac. Finally, you will find an
announcement about our 2008 IntelaTrac User Conference, so mark your calendars
and we look forward to seeing you again this year at one of the most exciting and
informative IntelaTrac networking and training events of the year. As always, please
feel free to contact me at dfrieden@sat-corp.com with any questions or comments

SAT Sponsors Microsoft Global Energy Forum
Guest Speaker Mike Brooks, Chevron Corporation
Many companies struggle to find cost effective ways to
manage thousands of stranded field assets that are not wired for control.
This presentation discusses Chevron’s Global Refining solution to this dilemma
which provides their field workforce with a mobile work process and decision
support system that facilitates step change process improvements in reliability,
PSM and environmental compliance. Learn why the “era of aging workforces” makes
it paramount to implement applications that accelerate and sustain best practices
and remove the IT underpinnings from the user’s experience.

RFID Resource Center
:: New SRM-3
|
 SAT
is proud to showcase the latest in RFID technology which further
enhances IntelaTrac operators' ability for field force automation.
Intermec CK61, with the Integrated RFID reader,
puts functionality in the hands of field force operators, allowing for greater
usability and efficiency. It is rated for Class 1 Division
2 hazardous locations.
The CK61 rugged design utilizes a magnesium top cover and tough rubber
bumpers at each corner to achieve extremely rugged environmental
specifications.
RFID is the most advanced asset tracking and identification tag technology available
today. It provides positive identification and automatic data transfer between a
tagged object and a reader, which speeds data collection and improves the quality
of data by validating asset and location information. Further, RFID tags have read/write
capabilities, so tag data can be updated in the field with mobile computing devices.

SAT Professional Services
SAT offers Consulting and Implementation services to meet many User
requirements from basic installations to complete implementation of
the entire IntelaTrac System. These include:
- System Installation: Installing your IntelaTrac Database
and Synchronization Servers, Desktop Application and Handheld
devices. Insure that all system components are working and
communicating as designed in your environment.
- Network design: Designing a Mobile network to provide
the wireless coverage and fidelity required by your team.
- System Administration: Create the essential framework for
your IntelaTrac System by establishing all system Users, Bases,
Groups, Permissions, and all System Global Variables and Data
Filters.
- IntelaTrac Implementation and Configuration: We work with
your team to gather today’s work practices and translate these
into IntelaTrac Best Practices. These best practices, provided
as templates can be used in your system by your Super Users or
SAT Consultants to configure your IntelaTrac application.
- Cab File Service: IntelaTrac Software Provisioning and Cold
Restart Management for mobile devices with site specific settings
and persistent memory. Provides easy restoring of all handheld
devices in cases of device resets or cold restarts.
- Super User Service: Specifically designed for clients who do
not have the available manpower to configure and rollout
IntelaTrac in their facility. Typically a service that will last
from 4 to 8 weeks, the output of this effort is an IntelaTrac
system deployed to multiple plant areas. The ongoing
responsibility of the site is then only to maintain the
application. Additionally, this service allows the end user to
realize a return on their IntelaTrac investment in the shortest
possible time. IntelaTrac Best Practices are used in throughout
the client’s application providing the best assurance of a system
that will have high operator acceptance and ease of use.
- Project management: Services to oversee and coordinate a
multifaceted implementation which can include any or all of the
above Services.

IntelaTrac Partner Profile
InterTechna
|

Intertechna
is a Swedish based company that is active in the Nordic markets of Norway
and Sweden. They specialize in implementing and supporting IntelaTrac
software and hardware products as well as delivering high quality training.
Intertechna also delivers customized solutions and integration to CMMS and
Historian systems.
According to Marcus Warnqvist, Executive Director at InterTechna, he was
recently asked, “What makes a system easier to adopt by everyone? What
makes a system fail? " well he replied, it is the small things that make
the difference . Take one of our customers as an example; they needed to
display the critical information, gathered in the field, in their locally
developed Logbook software. Prior to integrating the log book with IntelaTrac,
the collected field data was trapped in its system and not shared by all the
operators. Once the integration was quickly put in place, there is now no
discussion about that the data collected by the operators not being used and
available for everyone to view. They now understand the importance of
inspections and reporting through handheld computers."
