SAT Corporation was formed in 1995 with a focus on providing asset tracking, data collection and integration solutions within the process manufacturing industry. The Houston-based company first developed and marketed its RFID-based solutions under strategic alliances with Texas Instruments and Symbol Technologies (formerly Telxon Corporation).

Through the efforts of a powerful team of management and technical personnel with expertise in process manufacturing, discrete manufacturing, and the utility and power generation industries, SAT began to develop a unique rules-based workflow model for implementing field force automation solutions around complex processes.
